Manivanh et Yves sont heureux de vous accueillir dans leur maison. Ici aussi, maison faisant partie de la ‘ Cité Jardin du Vogelzang’ , cette fois-ci du groupe de 11 maisons. De l’extérieur, rien de spécial, la classique maison cottage, avec ses deux façades, ses fenêtres à croisillons, son bow-window. Mais attendez vous à un choc en poussant la porte. Vous ne trouverez plus ni cage d’escalier, ni couloir, ni séparation entre cuisine, salon, salle à manger, tout le superflu a été démonté. Rien n’a résisté à l’envie de lumière,d’espace, de circulation facile, d’ ouverture sur la nature à l’ arrière. Tout a été transformé, changé en un espace hyper-contemporain confortable et tellement audacieux. Cette maison est nouvelle dans le Parcours et n’a jamais été ouverte au public.
Maggy Derycke nous dit : « Durant mes promenades, je ramasse et je glane en imaginant déjà la nature devenant bijou. Cette nature, je l’associe instinctivement avec mes compétences et techniques personnelles à d’autre matériaux tels que le titane, l’argent, le cuivre, le corian. Je leur demande de faire bon ménage. Olivier Cochaux aime travailler sur le corps humain, qu’il travaille avec de l’acrylique, avec du sable, avec du plâtre, mais aussi de l’huile, des collages, des glacis. Ce qui le passionne , c’est l’essence du corps, c’est le corps qui devient matière et la matière qui devient le corps ….Ces tableaux offrent une interprétation presque onirique, énigmatique, personnelle, de ce merveilleux corps humain, avec chaque fois un coup d’œil doux, aimant, interrogateur sur notre présence sur cette planète. Manivanh en Yves vinden het fijn u in hun huis te mogen verwelkomen.Ook dit huis maakt deel uit van “de Tuinwijk van de Vogelzang” maar ditmaal van een groep van 11 huizen. Van buitenuit niets speciaals: het klassieke cottage huis, met de twee gevels, zijn vensters à croisillons, en zijn bow-window. Maar wat een verrassing bij het binnenkomen.U vindt er noch traphal, noch gang, noch scheiding tussen de keuken, het salon, de eetkamer. Al het overtollige werd ontmanteld/afgebouwd. Niets weerstond aan het verlangen naar licht, ruimte, makkelijke circulatie, opening van de achtergevel naar de natuur. Alles werd met veel lef veranderd tot één hyper eigentijdse, comfortabele ruimte. Dit huis is nieuw in het Parcours en werd nog nooit opengesteld voor/aan het publiek.

Deze natuur associeer ik op instinctieve wijze met mijn persoonlijke competenties en technieken op vlak van andere materialen, zoals titaan, zilver, koper, corian. Ik verzoek hen goed samen te werken. Opnieuw voor mij is dit verrukking “ Dit verbazend werk kan u enkel na 15 uur bekijken.

Wat hem boeit is de essentie van het lichaam, het lichaam dat materie wordt en de materie die lichaam wordt…Deze doeken bieden een bijna onwerkelijke, raadselachtige, persoonlijke interpretatie van dit prachtig menselijk lichaam. Met telkens een zachte, liefhebbende, ondervragende blik op onze aanwezigheid op deze planeet. Dit opmerkelijk werk kan u enkel na 15 uur bekijken.

Manivanh and Yves are delighted to welcome you into their home. Again, this house is part of the ‘Cité Jardin du Vogelzang’, this time one of a group of 11 houses. From the outside it’s nothing out of the ordinary, a classic cottage-style terraced house, with lattice glazing and bow window. But expect a shock when you open the door. You will find no stairwell, no hallway, no separation between the kitchen, living room and dining room; everything superfluous has been removed. Everything has been sacrificed to the desire for light, space, ease of movement, opening up to nature at the rear. It has been completely transformed into a super-contemporary, comfortable and very bold space. This house is new to the Parcours and has never been open to the public.
